Self-Refer yourself to physiotherapy


Did you know that you can refer yourself for physiotherapy treatment without having to see your GP?
It is quick, easy and can be done from the comfort of your own home. We are pleased to annouce a new service which

is now live, where patients can self-refer to physiotherapy once they have registered.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Due to COVID-19 we ask that patients do not come into the practice due to the risk of infection, so please call the practice first.  If you have COVID-19 symptoms use NHS 111 at https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19/ - Only call 111 if you can’t get help online.​

Surgery Opening Hours
​From 1st April 2019 the Practice will be opening on Thursday afternoons.  Please view our new opening times on the 
home page.



Phlebotomy Services
From 1st April 2019, the Royal Free London NHS Trust will cease phlebotomy services at Highlands Practice.  

Royal Free London NHS will continue to provide phlebotomy services at Chase Farm Hospital from 8am to 8pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4pm on a Friday.   

There is an appointment only service available at Barnet Hospital and Edgware Community Hospital from 9am to 4.45pm.  To book an appointment call 0208 375 1471 or book online via the trust website. There is also a walk in service at the Royal Free Hospital.

Update

We are pleased to inform you that Dr Ellen Dean and Dr Hannah Waddingham are now offering a full range of contraceptive services including coils and implants.

Patient Participation Group (PPG)
Minutes from our last meeting are available from Reception or if you wish them to be posted please supply a self addressed stamped address envelope. The next meeting is on 20th November 2019 at 1pm in the Group Room downstairs.



Mean Published Earnings
All GP Practices are required to declare mean earnings (ie: average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS Services.
Mean Published Earnings for Highlands Practice 2014/15 = £35,231.00
This is for 3 full time GPs, 3 part time GPs and 5 Locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.
